"Less Is More" Capital Campaign
Less Debt Means More Ministry
“Less Is More” was the name of a 3-year capital campaign (Nov. 2010–Oct. 2013) to decrease our mortgage debt so we could increase ministry. In 2010, we started with a debt of $3.2 million and set a goal of reducing it by $1 million — as well as raising an extra $200,000 for completing campus construction and furnishing projects, missions and more.
Since the campaign began, we’ve been able to reduce our debt even more — down to $1.5 million. That has freed up more than $180,000 per year for ongoing ministry.
Less of Us Means More of Jesus
The whole “Less Is More” concept started with John the Baptist. In John 3:30, John said of Jesus, “He must become greater; I must become less.” John knew that less focus on himself meant a greater focus on something (or someone) better — Jesus Christ.
We at Royal Redeemer can say the same. The less we’re focused on ourselves, the more we can prioritize God’s work. Less of us means more of Jesus.
